Centre for Rural Excellence, Belthangady

Centre for Rural Excellence (CRE), located at Belthangady (0.5 k.m. from bus stand), taluk headquarter was set up in 2004 to provide various skill based and entrepreneurship trainings for swarojgaris. Besides the centre is conducting induction and skill up gradation trainings for SKDRDP staff and is organizing exposure/study visits for those who aspire to study rural development initiatives of SKDRDP.


MJVTI

Mahila Jnana Vikasa Training Institute, Dharwad

SKDRDP being a pioneer in the field of development with a membership of more than 17 lakh, of which majority are woman is working for the empowerment of women through its various initiatives. Working closely with the rural poor women SKDRDP found that unless women are economically empowered their living standard will not improve. SIRI, a unique organization providing employment opportunity to more than 6000 women is a milestone in this regard. Jnanavikasa programme of SKDRDP has become an agent of change in the lifestyle of rural women.

To fulfill the diverse training needs of women SKDRDP in year 2009 started Mahila Jnanavikasa Training Institute in Navanagar of Dharwad district. The institute is offering various types of skill based and entrepreneurship development trainings for women. Besides In collaboration with SDM College (Autonomous) Ujire, the institute is offering 6 months ‘Diploma in Women Empowerment’.


NIST

National Institute of SHG Training, Udupi

Self Help Groups are stepping stones for development. SKDRDP through its various successful experiments has proved that poor people with the aid of Self Help Groups can achieve development. Pragathi Bandhu Programme has created new confidence in farmers whereas Jnanavikasa Programme has instilled a sense of security in women. With the objective of sharing the benefits of the experience of the experiments through SHGs with other governmental and non-governmental organizations SKDRDP has established National Institute of SHG Training (NIST) in the newly built Pragathi Soudha at Ambalpady, Udupi.


HRTC

Human Resource Training Centre, Mysore

Human Resource Training Centre started out with the purpose of providing advanced training to 16,000 workforce of SKDRDP. Located in Kuvempunagar this centre is amdist famous heritage sites of mysore. Started in 2014, this centre has advanced training infrastructure and comes with internet connection for quicker updates. All the rooms in this training centres are fitted with projectors for easier presentation. This centre provides a large range of trainings right from Animal Husbandry to Entrepreneurship. This training centre even provides hostel facilities to outstation trainees. Some of regular training programs are on managing of fiances in an SHG's, Forming new SHG's, Managing Banking Facilities etc.
