Dated 14.9.2018 : A demand draft for Rs. 2 crore consisting of Shree Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project ® (SKDRDP) employee contribution and matching contribution from SKDRDP in aid to the Kodagu flood victims was handed over this morning to the Chief Minister Sri. H.D.Kumaraswamy. The Chief Minister was informed of the decision of Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade to release grants ranging from Rs. 25,000/- to Rs. 65,000/- amounting to Rs. 8 crore to approximately to 1,175 flood victims families in Kodagu district. Thus a cumulative fund of Rs. 10 crore has so far been sanctioned.
Complimenting the generous grant, the Chief Minister appreciated the direct support announced by Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade. He accepted the demand draft from Sri. D.Surendra Kumar, trustee of SKDRDP.
On the occasion the rural development project submitted a detailed report on the calamity, based on a survey conducted by the organization. Maximum assistance from the government for the rehabilitation of the victims was sought.
The delegation consisted of Executive Director of SKDRDP Dr.L.H.Manjunath, Mahaveera Ajri, Shantharam R.Pai, Anand Suvarna, Yogish, Akshatha, Uma, Gunapal Jain and Krishna Singh.
