SKDRDP has organized several programmes for environmental protection and accordingly Social Afforestation programme has been undertaken and about 7.68 lakh saplings have been planted in the last 2 years. Rev. Shri. D. Veerendra Heggadeji released the compliance report of Social Afforestation.

From the last four decades, SKDRDP has been doing environment Protection by Forest Cultivation, Plantation of different types of saplings, Shalavana, Pragathivana, Devarakadu, Seed Ball Sowing and so on. Till now, 71.37 crores of different types of plants have been planted in 75.44 lakh acres of land.
