Under the guidance of Rev. Shri. D. Veerendra Heggade and Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade, SKDRDP started “Nammuru Namma Kere” programme in 2016 for the rejuvenation of lakes. In this way 116 lakes of the Karnataka State have been rejuvenated and prepared for water storage.

So far, a total of 568 lakes have been rejuvenated, 412 J.C.B and Hitachi machines, more than 2,683 tractors and tippers were used for repairing lakes. The lakes have been scientifically and beautifully reconstructed through works like dredging, repairing canals etc.
