SKDRDP Soraba Taluk, under the 513th ‘Nammuru Namma Kere’ programme, rejuvenated the lake at Kuduregani Village and held a sapling planting programme in the lake surroundings.
On this, the Project Officer, Sri. Subraya Naik, Saïd that humans need oxygen worth about Rs. 3000 to live one Day, but the environment provides it for free. If the deforestation continues like this, we will have to buy oxygen in the future. So we not only have to plant saplings around the environment, we also have to protect the plants.
A total of 300 saplings, like mango, lemon, jackfruit, and purple fennel, were planted around the lake.
Sri. Lokesh Doddabarki, Agricultural Supervisor, Sri. Hanumantappa, President of Kere Samithi, Sri. Annappa, President of Gram Panchayat and Villagers were present in this programme.
