The Director of Dharwad District Sri. Pradeep Shetty inaugurated the nameboard of rejuvenated Jogi lake under Nammuru Namma Kere programme at Tegur village, Dharwad Taluk and said that, under the guidance of Poojya Heggadeji and Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade, SKDRDP has rejuvenated total 700 lakes. Protecting water sources is a responsibility of all. Every drop of water is precious. Day by day everyone is realising its importance.
The member of Jana Jagruthi Vedike, Pundalika Hadadappa said, rejuvenating the lake has given a revive to life. It provides water to animals, birds and fertile soil for agriculture.
The members of Kere Committee, Gram Panchayat members, Project Officer, Supervisors, Sevaprathinidhis, SHG members and Farmers were present in the programme.
