The Director of Dharwad District, Smt. Mamatha Rao inaugurated the foundation stone laying ceremony organized for the rejuvenation of lake at Madapur village, Hassan Taluk and said, a village is meant to be prosperous if it has a lake, temple and forest.  There will be greenery everywhere and will help farmers to get good income to be financially stable.

The Project Officer, Smt. Sharika K. said, this lake programme not only offers farmers with good soil for their lands, but it will also provide drinking water, recharges borewell, water to agriculture lands and water to animals thirst.

The members of lake committee, lake engineers, agricultural officer, supervisors, Sevaprathinidhis and villagers were present in the programme.
