An environmental awareness programme was organized at Govt. High School, Turuvekere Taluk. The Director of Tumkur-1 District Sri. Sathish Suvarna inaugurated the programme and said that it is important to plant than celebrating environment programme to maintain the balance of nature. Destruction of environment is the reason for high temperature and health issues.

Environment related games are conducted to the students and prizes were distributed. The saplings were planted in the surroundings of school.  Saplings were distributed to the members who participated in the programme. The members of Gram Panchayat, SHG members, Sevaprathinidhis, Supervisors, school staffs and teachers were present in the programme.
