A World Environment Day awareness program was organized by SKDRDP BC Trust (R), Kalaburagi Taluk, at the Government Practical High School in Nandikur, under Fartabad sector.
The program was inaugurated by Shri Riyaz Attar, Project Officer of Kalaburagi Taluk. He emphasized that environmental protection is everyone’s responsibility and a precious duty that must be preserved and nurtured. He led the students in a pledge to protect saplings. Shri Riyaz Attar also provided information about various SKDRDP initiatives, including student scholarships, temple renovation, Jnanadeepa teachers, Nammura Namma Kere and community development programmes.
Shri Beenaji Suryavamshi, Headmaster praised the project’s community-oriented initiatives. Shri Rajesh, Project Officer of the Janajagruthi Programme, Kalaburagi Region highlighted the importance of building a de-addicted society and urged everyone to pledge towards creating a better society.
As a part of the programmes, various saplings, including Honge, Mango, Peepal, Lemon, Curry Leaf, Drumstick, and Mahogany were planted on the school premises. The event saw the participation of school teachers, staff, agriculture supervisor, and students
