Inauguration of 1935th Alcohol De-addiction Camp in Khandya of Mudigere

The inauguration of the 1935th alcohol de-addiction camp took place at the Shri Markandeshwara Community Hall in Khandya. This event was a collaborative effort by SKDRDP B.C. Trust (R.) Mudigere Taluk, Shri Markandeshwara Temple Committee, Khandya, Akhila Karnataka Janajagruthi Vedike Trust (R.) Beltangady, and Akhila Karnataka District Janajagruthi Vedike Trust (R.) Chikkamagaluru.
The program was inaugurated by Shri U.C. Gopalagowda, Dharmadarshi, Shri Kshetra Ujjaini, who also delivered the inaugural address. Shri D.S. Ratnakar, President of the 1935th Alcohol De-addiction Camp Management Committee, Khandya, presided over the event and shared his presidential remarks.
Shri Sadananda Bangera, District Director, SKDRDP B.C. (R.) Chikkamagaluru, was the chief guest. He spoke about the alcohol de-addiction camp, calling it a sacred program and emphasizing that it’s not just a Dharmasthala initiative but a community-driven program. He highlighted SKDRDP’s journey from its inception to its expansion, its extraordinary achievements, and its community programs like “Nammuru Namma Kere” Rudrabhoomi grants and religious sector initiatives. He specifically lauded the excellent cooperation of the management committee and the Janajagruthi Vedike for organizing this alcohol de-addiction camp, a program particularly dear to the revered head of Dharmasthala, and extended his best wishes for its success.
The program began with a prayer by Smt. Soumya Rai. Sudheer Jain, Project Officer, extended the welcome, Suresh P., Supervisor, compered the event, and Suresh, Project Officer, delivered the vote of thanks.
