A Pledge for a Healthy Life: Students at Bethany College Take a Stand Against Addiction.

The “Swastya Sankalpa” program for students was held on September 1, 2025, at Bethany Pre-University College, Noojibalthila. The event was organized by Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project B.C. Trust, Kadaba Taluk.

Shri Thammayya Ballal, the Head of the Ranjiladi Beedu household, inaugurated the program. He urged students to stay away from bad habits and to live a good life that would not bring shame to their college or their parents. Shri Mahesh K. Savanooru, President of the Akhila Karnataka Jana Jagruthi Vedike, Kadaba Taluk, spoke about the effects of drugs and bad habits. He emphasized that if students, who are the future pillars of their families, fall victim to bad habits, the lives of their family members will be destroyed. He advised them not to ruin their golden lives and to live as good individuals in society.

Shri George T.S., the Principal of Bethany Pre-University College, Noojibalthila, presided over the meeting. He stated that a meaningful life is possible only if children avoid addictions and adopt good culture and decency.The event was attended by Shri Thomas A.K., Headmaster of Bethany High School, Noojibalthila; Smt. P.Y. Kusuma, a member of the Akhila Karnataka Jana Jagruthi Vedike, Kadaba Zone; and Shri Sudheesh Kumar, President of the Noojibalthila Federation.

Vijesh Jain, Kadaba Zone Supervisor, gave the introductory speech and welcomed everyone. The program was conducted by Smt. Suguna, the Seva Prathinidhi, who also concluded with a vote of thanks.
