The COVID-19 pandemic created severe problems across the world, and many families lost their loved ones. Tara, from Tiptur, was living with her family of six when her husband’s health deteriorated, which became a huge setback for her.
At that moment, she received financial help from SKDRDP (Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project). As a result of this timely aid, her woolen business, which she had planned to shut down, was saved.
Today, Tara’s business is thriving. She purchases raw materials from Bengaluru and sells her finished goods there, making a good profit. For each saree she sells, she earns a profit of Rs.1000. Thanks to the support from SKDRDP, she is now living a self-reliant and prosperous life with her family, a testament to her resilience and hard work.
