Smt.Renuka a resident of Hasana District  was a beautician by occupation, has a strong passion for agriculture. Following her interest, she chose agriculture as both her passion and profession.

She began cultivating roses using modern methods like polyhouse farming on her one-acre plot. She planted 40,000 rose saplings at a total cost of Rs. 40 lakhs. She received a 19 lakh subsidy from the government and personally invested Rs. 20 lakhs. Initially, during the lockdown period, she faced difficulties due to a lack of market demand. However, the business later became profitable. She joined a self-help group through SKDRDP, which provided her with financial assistance and valuable information.

Today, she sells her flowers directly to the open market, without any middlemen, with the help of her husband and son. In addition to her success, she has also created employment opportunities for several people. She has since expanded her business by starting a poultry farm and is now considering starting a Chrysanthemum (Sevanthi) flower business as well.
