Shri Satyanarayana Puja and Religious Meeting Program took place under the auspices of the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project, BC Trust (R) in the Virajpet Taluk. Shri V.M. Subramani, an Ex-Serviceman and Kodagu District Janajagruthi Vedike Member, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the Project’s focus on social welfare and community development. He noted that such ceremonies, once common for uniting villagers, are now rare and serve as an important model for the next generation. This traditional puja successfully brought the community together.Shri Harish P. Project Officer, highlighted the Project’s extensive public welfare activities. These include the Jnanadeepa teacher selection, the Sujnananidhi education scholarship, and providing grants for the renovation of temples and village lakes. He also listed support for the old-age pension and the restoration of Hindu burial grounds.
Former Taluk Panchayat Member, Smt. Uma Prabhu, affirmed the puja as a vital part of our Sanatana Sanskriti and urged all members and villagers to participate. Parane Panchayat President, Shri Katti Kushalappa, shared personal memories and praised the event as a valuable opportunity for community unity. B.S. Mohan, the Puja Committee President, concluded the ceremony by offering thanks to all the members, villagers, and numerous dignitaries, including supervisors and representatives, who cooperated in and attended the successful program.
