This training program is a field that enables women to take up self-employment with minimal investment. To become self-employed, an individual must have strong determination and continuously learn to acquire greater skills, which can help in earning a higher income. The objective of providing free training by the institution is to ensure that women earn an income without depending on others. This, in turn, helps women gain recognition in society and build self-confidence, said Shri Jayanand P., Trainer from Belthangady Taluk Panchayat, while speaking at the valedictory function of the Saree Draping, Folding, and Bridal Make-up training program organized under the Skill Development Scheme at the Rural Excellence Training Centre, Belthangady, of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project. He later distributed certificates to the trainees and conveyed his best wishes.
A total of 29 participants, who are partner members of the project, took part and benefited from the training. Ms. Harshitha, a make-up artist, served as the resource person and conducted the sessions. Office Manager Mr. Annu Gowda was present at the program. Training Coordinator Ms. Jayashree compered the program and delivered the vote of thanks.
