Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project BC Trust® organized a special skill development training programme for Sevapratinidhis of Belthangady Taluk at the Belthangady Project Office.
Inaugurating the programme, Shri Anand Suvarna, Regional Director of the Udupi Regional Division, spoke about the origin and background of the rural development project. He said that with the dream of comprehensive development of the taluk, the revered Pujya Swamiji initiated the rural development project, and the early field workers rendered sincere and dedicated service by visiting homes and sharing in the joys and hardships of every family. He emphasized that members’ dignity, status, and personality must be respected.
He urged everyone to be good human beings and effective field workers, stating that the service they render should be like adding oil to a lamp to keep it burning. He said there is much work to be done as human beings, and the opportunity given to serve is a rare one.
He emphasized that success lies in faith, love, and trust, and called upon the participants to provide honest and respectful service. He further stated that if field visits and monitoring are carried out with clear goals, there would be no pressure, and that mistakes alone create pressure. A Sevapratinidhi who listens to people patiently, engages them in discussion, and resolves their problems is truly successful, he concluded.
