A Shourya Disaster Volunteers Training Workshop was organized by Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) B.C. Trust (Regd.), Honnavar Taluk at the Shri Sharadamba and Chandramouleshwara Temple Community Hall, Honnavar. The workshop aimed to equip volunteers with the knowledge and practical skills required for effective disaster preparedness, emergency response, and rescue operations.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Siddharameshwara, Police Inspector, Honnavar, by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized that volunteers should carry out their responsibilities with courage, dedication, presence of mind, and a spirit of selfless service during times of disaster. He appreciated the initiative and conveyed his best wishes to all the participants.

During the workshop, Shri Vijay and his team from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) conducted both theoretical and practical training sessions on disaster management, rescue techniques, and emergency response procedures. The programme was attended by Shri Ramachandra Nayak and Shri Shivaraj Mesta, members of the District Janajagruti Vedike, Shri Jaivanth Patagar, Shourya Disaster Project Officer, Shri Prabhakar H., Taluk Project Officer, supervisors Shri Ashok and Shri Uday Gowda, Finance Manager Shri Pradeep Kumar, Administrative Manager Smt. Deepika, and the office staff.
