On July 24, 2025, a tree-planting drive was inaugurated at the Tavaragere lake in Thatteguppe Gate, which falls under the Herindyapanahalli Panchayat of the Kodihalli sector. This lake was desilted during the 2024-25 financial year by the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) B.C. Trust (R) in Kanakapura Taluk.
The initiative was launched by Shri Rajegowda, who is the president and a leader of the Lake Committee. During his speech, he expressed his happiness, stating that the social work of the project inspires them to do more for society.
The event was attended by Shri Naveen M, the Taluk Project Officer; Shri Venkatesh, the Federation President; village leaders; and members of the project. The Taluk Agricultural Supervisor, sector supervisors, and Sevaprathinidhi made arrangements to plant more than 35 saplings of different species in the lakebed.
