From Sirsi to Success: Deepananda Naik’s Inspiring Journey with SKDRDP

Learning during childhood benefits one’s life in the future. Smt. Deepananda Naik, a resident of Sirsi taluk, relocated to Ankola with her husband after marriage. She started a business of making sandalwood garlands. To expand her business, she borrowed a loan from SKDRDP under Pragathinnidhi loan program.
With the help of the Pragathinidhi loan, she expanded her business and provided a good education for her three children. Her husband died at an early age. SKDRDP has been of comprehensive benefit to her; for instance, she received help during her house construction, business expansion and life insurance through programs like “Suraksha” and many others. She sells sandalwood garlands to various shops and for different events. Besides being self-employed, she is also the president of the Gram Panchayat. The ‘Jnanavikasa’ program of SKDRDP built courage and formidable confidence in her. She will always remember the help that SKDRDP has given her.
