A groundbreaking ceremony was organized for the Huchchannanakatte Lake work in Thimmanahalli village panchayat of Chikkanayakanahalli taluk. The event was held in the presence of the District Director, the Project Officer, the Panchayat PDO, the President, and the members of the Lake Committee.

During the program, the District Director gave a preliminary speech, stating that the project has undertaken work on nearly a thousand lakes across the state, which has led to the cultivation of many acres of agricultural land. He explained that this work helps to fill the lakes with excess water, benefiting borewells, animals, birds, and villages. He also mentioned that the Rural Development Project is not limited to providing loans but also carries out several community-related programs.

Following this, the Panchayat PDO spoke about the lake, assuring full support for the lake’s development work and promising to provide all necessary encouragement. He also praised the work being done by the revered. noting that he is accomplishing tasks that even the government has not been able to.
