Rejuvenation of Hunchikatte lake in Sasanakutte village started on Monday. The water reservoir capacity of the lake reduced due to silting, Removal of silt from the reservoir will improve the water level. Shri Narasimha Reddy, president of the Taluk Farmers’ Union, stated that Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade Ji has introduced several community development programs. Among these, the ‘Nammuru Namma Kere’ program is a prominent one. He added that it is our responsibility to protect our lake.The program was attended by the lake committee president, Shri Srinivasa Reddy, and Gram Panchayat member, Niranjan Reddy.”
