SKDRDP’s Success Story: Smt. Damayanthi, The Dairy Entrepreneur

Smt. Damayanthi, resident of Pilimaru in Kadaba taluk, She has dedicated 22 years to Dairy Farming profession. A pivotal moment in her career was in 2002 when she joined a Self-Help Group affiliated with the Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP). Recognizing her potential, she leveraged this association to secure crucial financial backing. Smt. Damayanthi successfully took loans under both the Pragathinidhi scheme and from SIDBI.This financial assistance allowed her to significantly expand her dairy farming operation and, importantly, diversify her income streams by starting her own service station business in Kadaba taluk. Today, her dairy farm consistently supplies 20 liters of milk daily. The successful establishment of her own service station
Beyond her thriving dairy business, Smt. Damayanthi also actively engages in diverse agricultural activities. Her farm produces crops like coconut, arecanut, and banana, alongside other seasonal crops. She attributes a significant part of her success and growth to the foundational support she received from the SKDRDP.
