The District Jana Jagrutghi Convention, organized by the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) BC Trust, was held on Gandhi Jayanti in Doddamalur, with key attendance from MLA Shri C. P. Yogeshwar, MP Shri Dr. C. N. Manjunath, and Tahsildar Shri B. N. Girish. Dr. Manjunath honored Dharmasthala not just as a temple, but a court of justice, praising Dr. Veerendra Heggade ji as a divine figure dedicated to alleviating the suffering of the poor. He emphasized the institution’s unparalleled commitment to social welfare and its crucial role in women’s empowerment, which is essential for national development. the sobering fact that Karnataka leads the nation in liquor sales, a tragic issue that is devastating countless families and underscored the critical need for a society free from intoxication. He lauded Dharmasthala’s commendable efforts in this direction, recognizing its immense social service is often met with opposition in a time where people even demand proof for the truth. Despite these challenges, he firmly stated that the good work undertaken by the institution and the footprints they leave behind will endure forever.

MLA C. P. Yogeshwar praised the SKDRDP for successfully carrying out crucial work that would otherwise be the government’s responsibility. He noted that the institution’s projects are invaluable in supporting the poor, as the trustee strives to fulfill the vision of Gram Swaraj (village self-rule). Dharmasthala not only fosters self-employment but also significantly contributes to community development by providing devotees with vital social, educational, and economic vitality.
