SKDRDP Holds Sujnananidhi Scholarship Grant Distribution Ceremony in Kotturu

The Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) held a grant letter distribution ceremony for the Sujnananidhi Scholarship for the academic year 2024-25. The event took place on September 27, 2025, at the Donur Chanakoti Math Community Hall in Kotturu town, benefiting 115 students. Former Zilla Panchayat member M.M.J. Harshavardhan and Dr. Shree Siddalinga Shivacharya Swamiji encouraged the students to pursue a quality education and build a successful future.

District Director Shri Satish Shetty highlighted that the Sujnana Nidhi program has been running for the past 19 years and is part of Dharmasthala’s Chaturvidha Dana (four charities). He stated that 800 students in the Vijayanagara district and 222 students in Kotturu Taluk received a total annual amount of Rs.14,52,000. The SKDRDP also provides a monthly pension of Rs.1,000 to the destitute, underscoring its broad commitment to social welfare.

Shetty further detailed the organization’s other initiatives across the state, including the rejuvenation of 950 lakes under the nammuru namma kere Additionally, they have provided teachers to 150 Government Schools through the ‘Jnanadeepa’ scheme. The scholarship ceremony was attended by various committee members, project officials, teachers, and the students along with their parents.
