The 2017 De-addiction Camp was organized at Tirumala Kalyana Mantapa, Maruti Badavane, Malur, under the joint aegis of the Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), BC Trust.

Inaugurating the camp, noted writer Venugopala Vahini said that SKDRDP is playing a vital role in realizing Mahatma Gandhi’s dream of an addiction-free society by conducting de-addiction camps and reforming alcohol addicts to bring them into the social mainstream. He stressed that addiction destroys health, families, and social trust, and urged participants to make full use of the camp to lead a healthy and dignified life.

The program was attended by SKDRDP BC Trust District Director Shri Shivanandachar, former City Council President Shri C. P. Nagaraj, former council members, members of the de-addiction camp management committee, project officers, and other local dignitaries.
