The valedictory ceremony of a three-month tailoring training program was held today at the meeting hall of the Kallugudde Milk Society in Noojibalthila village, Kadaba Taluk.
Shri Babu Naik, Director of the Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Dakshina Kannada District–2 Division, distributed certificates to the trainees. He stated that the programs of SKDRDP are implemented with noble intentions to support rural women in leading self-respectful and self-reliant lives. Giving priority to self-employment, the project provides free tailoring training through its schemes.
The chief guest, Shri Umesh Shetty Sai Ram, President of the Nooji Ullalti Temple, appreciated the effective conduct of the tailoring training and extended his best wishes to the trainees. He encouraged them to adopt tailoring as a profession in their future lives and achieve success.
The program was presided over by Smt. Chandravathi, President of the Gram Panchayat. Shri Sudesh Kumar, President of the Pragathi Bandu Federation; Smt. Geetha Bellada, Tailoring Training Centre Instructor; Shri Prakash Kumar, Project Officer; and Shri Vijesh Jain, Supervisor, were present on the occasion. Sevapratinidhi Aparna, federation office bearers and members, Jnanavikas Kendra members, and all the trainees of the tailoring training centre were present and extended their cooperation for the successful conduct of the program.
A total of 34 trainees from the tailoring training centre showcased and demonstrated the ready-made garments prepared by them during the event.
