Under the Jnana Deepa Education Programme of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP), Dharmadhikari Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji inaugurated the distribution of 3,472
desk–bench sets to 418 schools across Bengaluru Rural, Chikkaballapura, Tumakuru, and Kolar districts at Dharmasthala.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Heggade ji said that the programme supports schools by providing essential infrastructure such as classrooms, playgrounds, drinking water facilities, toilets, auditoriums, teaching aids, and furniture. So far, Rs. 47.69 crore has been spent under the initiative. During the current academic year, 1,074 honorary teachers have been appointed, and a total of 75,518 desk–bench sets have been distributed to 11,621 schools across the state at a cost of Rs. 28.55 crore.

Smt, Hemavathi V. Heggade, Shri D. Surendra Kumar, Smt, Shraddha Amith, Shri Amith, and others were present. Shri Anil Kumar S.S., Executive Director, briefed the gathering about the Jnanadeepa programme.
