Women Empowered Through Jnanavikasa Skill Development Program

The Jnanavikasa Skill Development Training Program recently concluded its latest session, focusing on the empowerment of women through vocational expertise. Speaking at the event, Shri Dugge Gowda, retired Regional Director and Public Relations Officer of Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala, highlighted that the true wealth of life lies in bringing out one’s inner strength and honing professional skills. He noted that when women master the art of self-employment with courage, they pave the way for lasting financial independence and personal growth.

The initiative aligns with the vision of Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade, President of the Jnanavikasa Program, who advocates for women to generate their own income. Shri Dugge Gowda emphasized that self-employment does more than provide a livelihood; it fosters self-confidence and earns individuals a respected identity within society. He encouraged the community to take full advantage of the free training organized annually by the center to add meaningful value to their lives.

The training program saw the active participation of 39 trainees, all of whom successfully utilized the resources provided to upgrade their skills. The technical sessions were conducted by expert resource persons, including Ms. Harshitha, a professional Makeup Artist, and Mrs. Gunashree, a specialist in Saree Tassel (Gonde) design. Their hands-on instruction provided the participants with the practical tools necessary to start their own small-scale businesses.

The formal proceedings were efficiently managed by Training Coordinator Jayashree. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants by the chief guest, followed by a warm vote of thanks delivered by Tailoring Instructor Usha. The program stands as a testament to the ongoing commitment of the organization toward rural development and women’s economic empowerment.
