From Daily Toil to Floral Triumph: Tippamma’s Journey

Smt.Tippamma, a resident of Chitradurga, once struggled to make ends meet as a daily wage laborer until a well-wisher introduced her to the Self-Help Groups (SHG) of SKDRDP. Her entrepreneurial journey began with a modest loan of Rs.10,000 to trade onions and maize, but when that venture faced losses, she didn’t lose heart; instead, she sought out agricultural training provided by the organization. Armed with new skills and a Pragathinidhi loan of Rs.2 lakhs, she pivoted to cultivating Firecracker Flowers (Kanakambara), a decision that transformed her life entirely. Today, Tippamma is a self-reliant entrepreneur who has built her own home and provides employment to four other members of her community, proving that with the right support, the seeds of hard work can bloom into a future of dignity and lasting success.
