SKDRDP Hands Over Newly Constructed ‘Vatsalya House’ to Beneficiary in Kadaba Taluk

The SKDRDP (Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project) recently handing over a newly constructed Vatsalya House to Smt. Girija, wife of Anandacharya, at Koila Patte in the Alankar zone of Kadaba taluk. This housing initiative was successfully completed under the Vatsalya Project of Jnanavikasa Women’s Programme. The District Director, Shri Babu Naik, presided over the ceremony and formally transferred the keys of the residence to the beneficiary.

During his address to the gathering, Mr. Babu Naik highlighted that the Vatsalya program is a prestigious and compassionate initiative envisioned by Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade. He detailed the noble objectives of the project, the meticulous criteria used for selecting beneficiaries, and the comprehensive support facilities provided to Vatsalya members. While congratulating the family on their new home, he emphasized that these schemes are fundamentally designed to provide long-term dignity, safety, and financial security to women in rural communities.

The ceremony was attended by a host of local leaders and project officials, including Sudhish Patte, President of the Olakadama Pragathibandhu Self-Help Groups, and Prakash Kumar, the Taluk Project Officer. Special recognition and gratitude were extended to Yashodhara, who generously donated the land for the construction. Other dignitaries present included Gram Panchayat President Pushpa Subhash Shetty, Taluk Janajagruthi Vedike President Mahesh K. Savanoor, Jnanavikasa Coordinator Smt. Chethana, and Sevapratinidhi Kavitha, alongside many local residents who gathered to celebrate the occasion.
