The Aatidonji Koota Programme was organized by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) BC Trust (R.), Vittla Taluk. The programme celebrated the cultural significance of the Aati month while promoting the preservation of local traditions, community values, and women’s empowerment.

The programme was inaugurated by Shri Kiran Hegde, Member of the Taluk Janajagruthi Vedike and President of Mani Vidyavardhaka Sangha. In his inaugural address, he stated that all the programmes implemented by SKDRDP are meaningful and socially oriented. He emphasized the importance of preserving and passing on the region’s language, culture, and traditions to future generations.

The chief guest, Shri Balakrishna Alva, Member of the Taluk Janajagruthi Vedike and Former President of Mani Gram Panchayat, spoke about the significance of the Aati month, its traditional customs, celebrations, and the special foods associated with the season.

Shri Babu Nayak, District Director of SKDRDP BC Trust (R.), Dakshina Kannada–2 District, explained the growth and development of SKDRDP and highlighted the various welfare schemes and benefits available through the organization.

Haji Ibrahim, Coordinator of Mani Vidyavardhaka Sangha, appreciated SKDRDP for empowering women through self-reliance and family development initiatives. He remarked that society should remain grateful to Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade for introducing such meaningful programmes. Shri Chennappa Gowda, Headmaster of Mani High School, conveyed his best wishes for the success of the programme.

The programme was presided over by Shri Manjappa Nayak, President of the Mani Federation, who shared how he had personally benefited from SKDRDP’s initiatives.  The event concluded with cultural performances presented by Self-Help Group members.
