Swasthya Sankalpa: Promoting a Drug-Free Society

The Swasthya Sankalpa program was successfully organized at the Morarji Desai Residential School in Hunasdoddi, Ramnagara Taluk, in collaboration with Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project B.C. Trust, Ramnagara Taluk, the District Legal Services Authority, and the C.E.N. Police Station, Ramnagara.

The program was inaugurated by Smt. Savitha P.R., Senior Civil Judge and Member Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority. She provided comprehensive information on the students’ responsibility in building a drug-free society, the adverse effects of substance abuse, and the penalties under law.

Shri Kenchegowda, Deputy Superintendent of Police, C.E.N. Police Station, Ramnagara, participated as a resource person. He explained how cybercrimes, drug abuse, and trafficking cases are increasing due to the desire for quick wealth. He also provided information on the laws in place to control these activities. He guided the children on how to live as good citizens and avoid participating in criminal activities in their future.
