A training workshop on integrated cashew farming was held for agricultural supervisors at the National Self-Help Group Training Institute in Udupi.
The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Anantha Krishna Rao, who provided comprehensive information about cashew cultivation. Also present were: Shri Ananda Suvarna, Regional Director, Udupi Regional Office, Shri Manoj, Agriculture Regional Director, Head Office, Shri Venugopal, Navanitha Nursery, Puttur, Dr. B. Dhananjaya, Co-Research Director, Horticulture Department, Brahmavar.
They provided guidance and information on various aspects of cashew farming, including sapling distribution, nourishment, and protection. The event was attended by Anita Shetty, Principal of the Udupi Training Institute, along with project officers from the head office, Shri Balakrishna, Shri Maruti, and progressive farmers from Mooruru, including Chandra Nayka. In total, 37 agricultural supervisors from various taluks were present.
