Smt. Padmaja, a resident of Yadagiri, had a dream of starting her own shop, but her financial situation made it seem impossible. Her dream remained just that a dream. However, her neighbour, aware of Padmaja’s ambition, communicates with her about SKDRDP and its micro-loan program. She joined the Self help group and received valuable knowledge from workshops.
Initially to minimize costs, she began by purchasing raw materials from local markets in Yadagiri and Raichur, packaging her products at home. This frugal approach allowed her to save every possible rupee. As time passed, her dedication paid off, and her business expand gradually. Later she borrowed loan under Pragathi Nidhi. This crucial funding enabled her to significantly grow her business, transforming her small home-based operation into a shop.
Today, Padmaja is not only a successful business woman but also a powerful role model for countless women in her community. She never forgets the pivotal role the NGO played during her difficult times, a testament to the transformative power of a helping hand.
