A group of transgender resident at Bommasandra, Bengaluru, joined the ‘Shri Mathaji’ Self-Help Group (SHG), which is run by X. Today, the group consists of 11 members: 5 transgender individuals and 6 women. RUDSET provided occupational training to the transgender members, making them eligible for the Pragathinidhi loan. They took a Pragathinidhi loan from X Institution and opened a petty shop in Bommasandra. Earlier, they were begging to sustain their lives, but today they have become self-employed women and an inspiration to many more. This initiative by X Institution truly helped them to lead a respectful life in society.
