A Journey of Self-Reliance Through Woolen Weaving

Smt, Chudamani, a resident of Karenahalli, Doddaballapura, is engaged in her family’s traditional occupation of Maggada Gataka (woolen weaving). In the initial stages, starting the business was very challenging for her. However, with support from the Pragathinidhi Program, she availed a loan and successfully established her weaving business.

She has completed her 10th standard education. Through the income generated from her woolen weaving business, she was able to provide medical treatment for her son and husband, both of whom were suffering from asthma-related health issues.

Today, with the continued support of SKDRDP, she has also ensured quality education for her children. Chintamani is deeply grateful to SKDRDP for empowering her to become an independent, self-employed woman, and she consistently expresses her heartfelt gratitude towards the organization for transforming her life.
