Taluk-level Women Jnanavikas Seminar Held at Sira

The Taluk-level Seminar under the Women Jnana Vikas Programme Sira-2 Taluk was organised by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project at Sri Kannika Parameshwari Kalyana Mantapa, Sira town.

The programme was presided over by Smt. Uma Vijay Raju, Municipal Council Member, Sira, who appreciated the various development programmes implemented by SKDRDP in Sira Taluk and expressed happiness over the discipline and unity shown by Jnanavikas members.

Addressing the gathering, Sri Ramachandra Gupta, former District President of District Jnana Jagruti Vedike, Tumakuru-2, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of women and praised the social service contributions of Poojya Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade and Mathrushri Hemavathi V. Heggade. Chief Guest Shri Praveen Kumar, District Director, Tumakuru-2, explained in detail the objectives and benefits of SKDRDP and the Jnanavikas Programme, including welfare, health, self-employment and Vatsalya initiatives, and urged members to make proper use of these programmes. Resource person Smt. Roopa, Lecturer, Vinayaka College, Nittur, spoke on the vital role of women in ideal family and health management through interactive sessions.

The programme was attended by Taluk Project Officers Ramesh and Kavitha Lakshman, Yoga Instructor from Patanjali Yoga Education Committee, Sira, Jnanavikas Coordinator Asha, supervisory staff of Sira-2 Taluk, Sevaprathinidhi, village-level customer service providers, and members of Jnanavikas centres, along with a large number of women participants.
