The Cervical Cancer Screening Camp was organized by Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) through the Somwarpet of Chamarajanagar District and Project Offices The programme was conducted on 17 January 2026 at Basavarajendra Hospital. The programme was attended by eminent medical professionals, including Dr. Shashidhar of Basavarajendra Hospital,
Dr. Shwetha Shashidhar, Obstetrician and Gynecologist, and Dr. Shwethambari from Bharat Cancer Hospital, Mysuru. The dignitaries opined that cervical cancer can be effectively treated if detected at an early stage through regular screening. They also stated that obtaining the organization’s Arogya Raksha and Suraksha Card would facilitate better access to medical treatment.shri Harish Kumar Shetty, Project Officer, represented SKDRDP during the programme. A total of 260 participants benefited from the camp.
