Ganapati Homa & Women Empowerment Program Inaugurated at Heggadapura of H.D.Kote

The Ganapati Homa, was held at Heggadapura village of H.D.Kote taluk, jointly organized by the Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) BC Trust and the villagers of Heggadapura. Inaugurating the program, Smt.Soumya Anil Chikkamadu, the chief guest, said that Shri Dharmasthala institution, one of the largest organizations in the country, has been providing loan facilities without any security through SKDRDP to promote women’s empowerment and economic self-reliance, even before the government introduced women-centric schemes. She appreciated women members for cultivating savings habits, availing small business loans, and repaying them at low interest rates, and urged them to continue on the path of self-reliance.

His Holiness Shri Mahadeva Swamiji, Head of the Paduvalu Virakta Mutt, praised SKDRDP for successfully delivering welfare schemes to the last person in society. Mr. V. Bhaskar, Taluk Project Officer, shared that members in Kote taluk save Rs.20 per week, resulting in total savings of Rs.19.63 crore, and that over the past 10–12 years, nearly Rs.900 crore has been disbursed for education, irrigation, self-employment, housing, agriculture, and business.

The program was attended by Shri. H.S. Manjunayak, President of the Ganapati Homa Committee; Shri. V. Vijay Kumar Naganala, Senior District Director of SKDRDP; Ms. H.L. Bharathi, Supervisor; Ms. Indramma Mahadevu, President of Naganahalli Gram Panchayat; Mr. Swami, Vice President; along with several committee members, representatives of the Kannada Sahitya Parishat, leaders, members, and villagers of Heggadapura.
