SKDRDP Organizes Community Satyanarayana Puja at Sringeri

The Shri Kshethra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (SKDRDP) BC Trust®, Sringeri Taluk, organized a Community Shri Satyanarayana Puja and Religious Assembly for the Sringeri Zone on January 25, 2026. The event was presided over by Shri Y.R. Manjunath Yadadal. The ceremony was officially inaugurated by Shri Ramanna Naik Surgodu, a progressive farmer and community elder, who lit the traditional lamp in the presence of members of the Janajagruthi Vedike and other dignitaries.

The assembly featured insightful religious lectures delivered by Smt. Mandara Jain and Smt. Jayashree Ganesh. Providing context to the initiative, Project Officer Shri Suresh delivered the introductory remarks, where he detailed the various ongoing welfare programs and activities of the SKDRDP project.

Several distinguished guests shared their appreciation for the organization’s vision and the impactful work led by Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji. Notable speakers included litterateur Shri Krishnamurthy, Gram Panchayat President Shri Mahesh Hektur, Temple Management Committee President Shri Manjunath Rishyashringa, Headmaster Shri Dinesh, and several others including local representatives and leaders from the Shaurya Disaster Management Team. They collectively lauded the project’s role in rural upliftment and social welfare.

A significant highlight of the event was the felicitation of local achievers. Shri Lakshman Naik, a traditional folk healer (Nati Vaidya), and Shri Manjunath Guttalike, a retired soldier, were honored for their dedicated service to society. Additionally, various federations (Okkutas) that supported the successful execution of the program were also recognized and honored.

The formal proceedings were managed by a dedicated team: Supervisor Shakuntala welcomed the gathering, and Service Representative Renuka presented the zonal progress report. The event was moderated by District Insurance Coordinator Shri Subramanya and school teacher Netravati. The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Service Representative Vinuta. The day was further enriched by cultural performances presented by school children and Okkuta members, with active participation from union office bearers and Shaurya volunteers.
