A Tobacco Awareness Programme was organized at Government High School, Padavan Village, Channarayapatna Taluk.

Senior journalist Mr. Jayaram, Smt. Shobha, Headmistress of the school along with the teaching staff and 80 students participated in the programme. They highlighted the harmful effects of tobacco consumption and substance abuse on health and society. They said, youth are valuable assets of the nation and their energy and potential should be utilized positively. They also cautioned students against falling victim to addiction due to negative peer influence and other factors.

The guests appreciated the efforts of SKDRDP in conducting awareness programmes that help safeguard the future of students and promote a healthy, addiction-free lifestyle. The programme was attended by Shri. Chetan Kumar, Project Officer, and Shri. Nagaraj, Supervisor.
