A Study Tour was organized for 40 Jnanavikasa members from the Bichenahalli and B.B. Kavalu of Kikkeri taluk.
As part of the tour, the participants visited various government departments, including the Taluk Administrative Office, Taluk Civil Court, Police Station and Fire Station. They were also viisited to a self-employment unit to gain practical exposure.
At the Police Station, Inspector Shri Mahesh provided information on cybercrime awareness. He emphasized the importance of paying close attention while raising children, noting that child marriages are still prevalent in the region. He advised the participants not to respond to unknown calls, share OTPs, or disclose personal banking information, as doing so could lead to financial fraud.
PSI Shri Keerthi Madam explained the provisions of the POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) Act and stressed the importance of parental responsibility and vigilance in safeguarding children.
At the Fire Station, Shri Dayananda educated the participants about fire hazards and accidents. He demonstrated the safety measures to be followed and explained how to respond effectively in the event of an accidental fire.
