A Taluk-Level Women’s Convention was organised under the Jnanavikasa Programme of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project B.C. Trust (R.), Kundapura, at Brahmashree Narayana Guru Kalyana Mantapa, Kundapura. Sri Anand Suvarna, Regional Director, Dr. Vanishree Aithal, Chief Medical Officer, Tapovana, Manipal, and Sri Subrahmanya Shetty, President, Akhila Karnataka Janajagruthi Vedike, Kundapura Taluk, participated in the programme.

Speaking on the occasion, Sri Anand Suvarna highlighted the role of the Mahila Jnanavikasa Programme in empowering women to become self-reliant and progress in various fields. Dr. Vanishree Aithal spoke on women’s health and well-being, while Sri Subrahmanya Shetty appreciated the contribution of the Rural Development Project towards the welfare and development of rural families. Flower arrangement, rangoli and folk dance competitions were also organised as part of the programme.
