Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade handed over the Vatsalya House to the beneficiary Shivanna, resident of Neriya village of Belthangady Taluk and said-SKDRDP not only empowers women but also provides houses and other basic amenities to the destitute through Vatsalya programme.

Under this programme, a total of 60,402 families have been surveyed, out of which 16,821 beneficiaries were identified for Vatsalya. So far, Vatsalya kit has been distributed to 12,632 families and 4,189 families will get the Vatsalya Kit by this month.

SKDRDP Executive Director Dr| L. H. Manjunath, Janajagruthi former President Sri. D. A. Rahman, Janajagruthi Regional Director Sri. Vivek Pais, Udupi Regional Director Sri. Vasanth Salyan, District Director Sri. Sathish Shetty and Taluk Project Officer Sri. Surendra Kumar were present in the programme.
