After receiving information about self-employment at the Sindhoora Jnana Vikasa Kendra, Chetana, with the determination to achieve something in life, planted 25 jasmine saplings. Seeing good profits initially, she is currently cultivating 150 jasmine plants, earning an income of Rs.2000 to Rs.3000 per day. Her husband also supports her in this work, helping with jasmine management during his free time.
Chetana has received a grant of Rs.3000 and borrowed Pragathinidhi of Rs.9 lakh from the project. There are a total of 6 members living in her household, with two sons pursuing their education.
Chetana’s successful lifestyle has inspired other members of the group, encouraging them to focus on self-employment. Chetana and the group members expressed their gratitude to the Shree Kshetra Dharmasthala Project and the revered Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade and all the project officials who provided information and guidance for their role in their development.
