27th Shuddhaganga Unit Inaugurated in Tiptur Taluk

The 570th Shuddhaganga unit in the state, and the 27th in Tiptur Taluk, was recently inaugurated in Ayyanabavi village, under the Mattihalli Gram Panchayat limits by the SKDRDP. The inauguration, led by Taluk Panchayat CEO Sudharshan, marks a significant step towards providing clean drinking water, as the water’s TDS level has been reduced from 756 to a pure 52.

Shri Sudharshan praised SKDRDP’s extensive work, and noted the rejuvenation of 11 lakes under the “Nammuru Namma Kere” initiative with 1.5 crore rupees, and the considerable investment of 1.62 crore rupees for the 27 Shuddhaganga units, with SKDRDP bearing the 31.19 lakh rupees annual maintenance cost.

Shri Satish Suvarna, Tumakuru-1 District Director of the Project, detailed Honorable Dr. D. Veerendra Heggadeji’s’ social programs, emphasizing how SKDRDP secured the free pure drinking water unit for Ayyanabavi after realizing the villagers’ plight with contaminated water. The event saw a large attendance of dignitaries and villagers, demonstrating strong community support for these vital development initiatives.
