An event was organized by the Hemavathi Mahila Jnanavikasa Street Play program in the Vinayak Nagar of the Naragunda zone to promote the use of toilets, safe drinking water, and cleanliness. The event was inaugurated by Shri H.B. Asuti, former president of the District Janajagruthi Vedike, Gadag district, who lit the lamp. He stated that the main program of the Dharmasthala Project is organizing de-addiction camps, and Janajagruthi means public service. He praised the immense work of the revered leader in serving the people.
Smt. Malati Dinesh, the area project officer, was the chief guest. She explained that among the many programs of the project, the Jnanavikasa program, presided over by Smt. Matrushree Hemavathi V. Heggade, is a special initiative run by, for, and of women. It provides information on health, hygiene, self-employment training, and legal awareness during monthly meetings. She added that the street play was organized to raise awareness about the importance of using toilets, a necessity for everyone.
The event was presided over by Smt. Parvathi Jagali, president of the union . Shri Shankaragowda Patil, president of the Anjaneya Temple Committee, Vinayak Nagar, and Shri Sangappa Biradar, a member of the Anjaneya Temple Committee, also participated.
The Adishakti Kala Tanda performed a street play to raise awareness about the use of toilets. The event was attended by service representatives and members of the Jnanavikasa Kendra. Smt. Meenakshi, the Jnanavikasa coordinator, compered the program. The zonal supervisor, Rajesab H.T., welcomed everyone, and Sevaprathinidhi Saroja Hadapad delivered the vote of thanks.
