Shri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project held a scholarship distribution ceremony in Maddur. The event, which took place at the Vyakyana Mantapa, of Maddur . District Director Smt. Chetana M. inaugurated the program by lighting a lamp and highlighted the organization’s social development initiatives, especially praising the Sujnananidhi scholarship program. She also noted that it is a great opportunity for students to uplift their families and contribute to society.
Smt. Chetana M. provided an overview of the scholarship program’s impact, stating that so far, 1,25,000 students across the state have received scholarships worth over Rs. 152.75 crore. Specifically in Maddur Taluk, Rs. 1.02 crore has been distributed to 981 students to date, with an additional 182 students approved this year. She emphasized that the program, initiated by Dr. D.Veerendra Heggade ji, aims to help low- and middle-income families afford professional education, thereby making a significant difference in students’ lives.
Following the director’s address, Smt, Sujana Jagruti Vedike member Sri Lingegowda spoke about the success of thousands of students who have benefited from the revered leader’s selfless service. Another member, Guruswamy, echoed this sentiment, underscoring that such impactful work is only possible through selfless leaders and that the community must support these initiatives. The event concluded with the distribution of scholarship approval letters to the 182 approved students, with the Taluk Project Officer and other officials in attendance.
