Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Rural Development Project (BC Trust) organized a Women’s Jnanavikasa Awareness Programme in Alur Taluk. The event was inaugurated by Shri Cement Manju, MLA of Sakaleshpur–Alur Assembly Constituency. He appreciated the social service initiatives of Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala and the various development programmes of SKDRDP, saying that many tasks not taken up by the government are being effectively carried out under the guidance of reverred Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade ji, benefitting women and weaker sections of society.

The programme was presided over by MP Shri Harish, President of Venkateshwara Kalyana Mantapa and journalist, who urged women to make full use of the facilities provided by SKDRDP. Dr. Mamatha, President of the Women Doctors’ Association, Hassan, conducted a session on health issues faced by women after menopause. Taluk Health Officer Dr. Nisar Paatima also shared useful information. District Director Shri Suresh Moily briefed the participants on SKDRDP’s activities. Project Officer K. Ratnakar Khotari welcomed the gathering. Several dignitaries and project staff were present.
