The Borannankatte Lake, located in Hatna village under the Biligere Gram Panchayat, was rejuvenated through SKDRDP’s Nammuru Namma Kere programme. Covering a total area of 8.7 acres, the lake has provided significant benefits to the community. About 184 farmers have utilized the silt removed from the lake, and 238 families are directly benefiting from its restoration. The rejuvenated lake now supports irrigation for 637 acres of agricultural land and has enhanced water availability for 232 borewells, 16 open wells, and serves as a crucial water source for livestock.
